The stimulation index is the increase in insulin release when you increase glucose, and 3 is good.  Unfortunately these measures are only an approximate measure of how well islets will function in vivo, but are useful.]]></description>

I&#039;ve been following this blog for a long time, but now this will be my first post. 
I can&#039;t figure out the table in the lower middle section (Table 1). 
Lower values are better and given a higher score and percentage? They signify that the islets are functioning after transplantation? What would be &#039;optimal&#039; values to &#039;cure&#039; the piggy from its newly acquired burden?
